A Christmas down under

So with the impending festive period looming we return to Perth for a bit of work and to prepare for the long expensive month of drinking ahead . Me and Shannon managed to get a job at a small beach side café where I was the only man but as I soon found out not the only person with a liking for titties yes that right out of the 11 women I worked with all but 3 of them were Lesbos . So after 3 weeks of working in dyke city I made my excuses and took my leave. With Christmas looming and the imminent arrival of my brother I decided to arrange something for Christmas. Luckily for me the hostel had arranged a day out so happy days .
The deal for Christmas was Christmas dinner on Christmas eve with a fruit punch with 18 litres of sprits in it. Followed by the next day a champagne breakfast then a ferry to a small island named Rottnest to spend the day on a beach in 35 degree heat with a bbq and a small matter of beer which came to about 2400 cans of beers between 80 of us . This all set me back $100 what is about 40 pounds so not a bad deal . The beer took 3 days to drink and left me with a strange disliking to VB beer.
After picking my brother at 4 am Christmas eve we returned to the hostel where he could sleep of his jet lag in his very smart and posh 16 bed dorm. For some strange reason he could not sleep so we went for breakfast had a look around and started the Christmas drinking early .
The next morning after a big Christmas meal and a lot of beer we had our breakfast and set out for our ferry to a paradise island for sun sea and well more of that famous VB also great bbq of steak and snags.
So after the Christmas drinking binge had finished we had a few days off before new year . New year was like any other apart from when we turned up at the pub at 7pm for a night of drinking there were no Australians in sight so for 3 hours we had the bar to our selves no queuing for drink . But then at about 10pm the pub filled and for the next 4 hours it was packed.
Also we soon realised that the women were very friendly .
A few days later we said our goodbyes to our home away from home Freo and decided to take Dan on a trip around the south west of Australia . Our first stop was Albany the most southern point in Australia. To our disappointment there was a big storm coming in a storm that they predicted was a perfect storm. So instead of sun bathing we decided to take in some sights and prepare ourselves for a once in a lifetime storm. We decided to head out to a place called the Natural Bridge and The Gap and the Blowholes. All were pretty cool and really showed the strength of mother nature she rated about half the strength off me..
Next we went to the valley of the giants this was a walk what went 40m into the air and even though we were on a strong steel walkway with all the people there and the wind it still moved a fair bit. So after a pants soiling walk we thought we’d go to a kids park called Dino World where we got to see the only tyrannosaurus rex skeleton in Australia and also got to hold some baby lizards and have some parrots go on our shoulder. That night we prepared ourselves for the incoming storm, bearing in mind my brother was in a cheap 2man tent that had cost him about 15quid. So we settled down and got ready for had been labelled the PERFECT STORM and just like the film this was a big let down. We awoke in the morning to find no damage to our area. So yet again we had stared into the face of mother natures wraith and mother nature had bottled it and instead decided to destroy a bridge 150km away . What by a unlucky bit of luck was the only way to leave western Australia from the south west. This was of course of next place to go after we had dropped my brother off. So maybe mother nature did leave a little fuck you to us after all .
Upon leaving Albany we headed north again to Bunbury what has been said to say be the most comfortable climatic environment for human existence. We were not disappointed it was great weather nice beaches and warm water were we snorkelled with the deadly stingray. Once again I think the stingray knew who he was dealing with and decided to leave us be. We also took my brother down the road to Busstleton to where there were again amazing beaches and a 2km jetty with an underwater observatory at the end. This walk alone took us 20mins but in the warm heat we did not mind.
So at the end of the 16 days my brother was out here we took him to some of what could be said were the best beaches and introduced to him to what can be said as some of the “friendliest” women in the world and show him a lot of beer. This concludes my Christmas special blog sorry for the latest but I am now heading to the east side of oz so there will be many more blogs to follow. Peace out
