PERTH

After our 8 hour flight we arrive in Australia even though we had not slept in 22 hours we were on a high . From what we had experienced in HK it seemed like we were looking into a mirror. We went from the hustle and bustle of down town HK to the quietness of Perth it seem so different from the queues in London and HK to no queues what so ever in Perth ( e.g. it took us under 2 hours from getting off the plane to getting our bags going through customs making a 10min ride to Perth , Receiving our visa going across town to get our tax code numbers to waiting and boarding the train to Fremantle . Take that from me that’s fast.

We checked into our first hostel The Sundancers, and set about looking round town as we step out of hostel and turned right and we came face to face with a building called the Round House this being the oldest national building in WA

So we had taken in our first piece of Australian History so I thought of no better excuses to celebrate by trying out a few of the local drinks. First came tooheys extra dry , quickly followed by cartlon cold, then a local drink called little creatures, and as the list got longer and the pubs we visited became further a field . We felt that our celebration drink had come to a quick end with a mix of jet lag and alcohol taking its toll.
A couple of days later we moved to a hostel down the road call the old firestaion it seemed a lot more laid back and more people knocking around.



As the week came and went we visited many more of the site freo and Perth had to offer including Fremantle prison ,cottesloe beach, king park and many watering holes to help us battle against dehydration . We also found a new love aussie rules footy. What a game so fast . GO THE DOCKERS......

While doing our bi-daily checks on the notice boards hoping to find our dream van , something caught the corner of chobo’s eye she called me over and we saw what could be our perfect van a 1982 Nissan urvan . We were both excited so with a lump in my ……. Urmm lets say throat I took down the number and gave it a call. And to cut a long story short 2 days later we went from a happy couple travelling Australia to a threesome , me ,chobo and Ellie urvan . This was going to be a year to remember.
